I really love the design, but....too loud

I really love the design, it’s great!
The only downside is the loud fan.
It can be hard to use quietly, especially during meetings.

I hope to see improvements in this area in the future.

We completely understand how the fan noise can be a hassle, especially during meetings when you need a quiet environment. We’ve design the feature to avoid this situation, that there’s actually a built-in fix on your current device: there’s a switch on the side of the enclosure that lets you turn off the fan manually. We hope this helps make your meetings much quieter right away!
To take it a step further, we’ve also optimized our design and just released a new product, the DK-DISK LITE, which removes the fan entirely to eliminate the noise issue at its source. It's amazing how 1TB of data can now be stored in such a small package

It's amazing how 1TB of data can now be stored in such a small package. I haven't actually used it other that plugging it in an confirming it works. For my intended use, I bought a male C to USB conversion cable that allows me to plug it into the desktop USB ports. No similar cable/adapter came with the unit.
